Prof. Cecilia Sik-Lanyi studied Mathematics and Computer Science. She obtained the degree dr.Univ. (1993) and Ph.D. (2000) at the University of Pannonia, D.Sc. (2022) at the Hungarian Academy of Science. Currently, she is a professor at the University of Pannonia. Her research area is Virtual Reality, Serious Games, and Colour Science. She has published more than 500 refereed articles and conference papers and worked as a guest editor for many renowned journals and books. She received several awards; the most important ones are:
- “Master teacher” award of the Hungarian Ministry of Education in 2001,
- “AAATE-diamond-award” of the Association for the Advancement of Assistive Technology in Europe in 2015,
- “King Salman Award for Disability Research” of the King Salman Center for Disability Research in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in 2018.
She has supervised more than 236 B.Sc., M.Sc., and 7 Ph.D. theses since 1997.
